Dream Portal is a small portal modification that will give your forum a custom portal completely configurable with its own innovative, easy to use administration panel.
Dream Portal centers around AJAX, a popular XML+JavaScript rendering system that gives off beautiful effects with very minimal code work. The portal also includes a custom pages addition that lets you create and maintain individual pages while using a "token system"-- you're able to call information that would take a lot more code to do. Such as being able to call the forum linktree using $linktree.
Dream Portal also utilizes a complete new frame of reference-- an AJAX administration panel. No longer will you need to mess around with dodgy systems that list "blocks" or so-forth, you can, using Dream Portal's comprehensive AJAX: drop, edit, drag, and create the portal of you dreams using just your mouse. You can even save portal files (the raw configuration of the portal) as a XML file and send it to your friends or make a back up of it. You can assign different profiles at different times by storing them in the administration panel as well-- you could have Portal 1 assigned to certain membergroups and Portal 2 assigned to others, or simply swap between the two as your mood changes.
Last but not least, Dream Portal comes equipped with a vast amount of "modules", allowing you infinite possibilities of portal configurations as well as modules that let you make your own "module", so to speak-- a HTML/PHP/BBC module with tokens, as well as modules that work with other popular SMF mods like the gallery modification.
