Well I currently dabble in a couple smf forums I was looking around online for theme ideas and somehow ended up on xboxnarc.com. I couldnt believe my eyes, and when I seen it was a smf forum I couldnt believe my eyes again. Anyway while I was slobering over the design and reading the footer I seen the dream portal copyright and clicked on it. I started a little site project using dream portal and largely influenced by xboxnarc.com design. I managed to find a theme dark and light versions that had rougly the layout I was looking for, I did customize a few things, anyway check it out and tell me what you think, its mostly just a mock up and has much more needed like a proper banner and a few other design optimizations.

Nice design. I may would have went a different route with your site because it still looks closer to an xbox 360 dashboard. Your site is focused around multi-platform. Although, the glacier 2 theme has a better color scheme. Very nice...

Thanks for the compliments(it is my site). It's pretty much a dead site though. It costs way more to run a gaming site than you would expect. So I have disabled registration.

I plan to restore it maybe when DP 1.1 or 1.2 is released, and gear it more towards the new xbox. Right now I just don't have the money to pay for additional server costs for it if the traffic were to pick up on it again. Right now, my latest project is http://medievalfantasyadventure.com

DP 1.1 will be released soon and it's AMAZING. My theory is that DP 1.1 will be so popular that people will use SMF just to use DP. That slider you have on your homepage, I actually made into a module for DP 1.1 because I plan to use it on my site http://inspireromance.com.

Thanks, I dont claim to be a designer or anything, I just like to look for ideas, then I do my best to make something decent. I couldnt write a php block or even create a full css style sheet from scratch, but I know enough to edit a few things and hopefully end up where I want it. I chose the glacier themes simply because they where the only free themes that had a light and dark version that had the overall layout I was trying to achieve. Things like the avatar beside post on index and the roundframe wrapper or whatever you want to call it, I was so impressed with xboxnarc.com I just wanted to try and get something similar in the layout. I could not get the accordion slider to work, and honestly the accordion slider is more of a 360 theme type slider, luckily I found the one Im using now, it wasnt hard for me to get it working, I just threw the javascript and form settings in a block, then called a css file. Im happy with it though and Im just glad I got it working. I like the other sites you have, very nice designs on both of them, I will be looking forward to dream portal 1.1. I have been using adkportal on my other forums, I really like the dream portal since Ive found it. I was curious will dream portal 1.1 have tabbed blocks? For example if I want a center block for "console news" then have multiple tabs on top of block to choose between "ps3" "360" wii" and when each tab is click it shows the last 5 or so post (depending on setting) related to that tab and where the tabs source comes from? I hope I worded that right so you understand :D

As far as the tabbed blocks, DP does not currently have a module that can do this. However, I don't think it would be that hard to make. Perhaps if you made a request in the modules request board and provided some screenshots maybe someone will make such a thing.
