This topic will be rewritten when Dream Portal 1.1 gets released.  There is so much more that can be done with modules in DP 1.1.  For example, DP 1.1 now supports Empty Modules, these are modules that do not get placed within sections of a layout but can be anywhere on that layout.  It's a bit difficult to explain, but when you see the empty modules that we have already created for DP 1.1 you will understand right away I'm sure.  Anyways, there are so many more tags and attributes that need to be mentioned for DP 1.1.  So this will be done after DP 1.1 is finished and released.  Just to let you all know.
